Mathematical formulas to determine the integral force and the total overturning moment of the average wind load on a rectangular building within the exact comply with SP 20.13330 and GOST R 56728 regulatory conditions are derived. The normalized parameters of the sweeping wind for various wind areas and types of terrain, as well as the SP technique for calculating the average component of the external wind load on the facades of the building are taken into account. Being a direct consequence of the standards adopted in SP, the obtained formulas describe the actual integral loads on the high-rise building to the extent that the method of assigning aerodynamic coefficient distributions to the facades of a rectangular building corresponds to the actual distributions. Theoretical estimates of integral wind loads according to the developed formulas are compared with the results of experiments in a wind tunnel on the example of testing the mockup of a construction complex consisting of three high-rise buildings having a close to rectangular shape. In general, a satisfactory agreement between the approximate theoretical estimates and actual experimental data is obtained, which gives reason to recommend these formulas for practical use to obtain approximate values of total wind loads. These formulas will be useful for engineers to obtain rapid estimates of the total wind loads perceived by the projected building and transmitted to its foundation. They may also be of interest to representatives of the state expertise, carrying out verification of compliance of project documentation with the SP standards in terms of accounting for calculated wind impacts.
