AbstractAbout AuthorsReferences
At constructive solutions for window fillings in residential buildings choosing, it is necessary to take into account a number of different requirements for translucent fences. Some of these requirements are aimed at premises protecting from negative environmental impacts. In urban buildings, such negative impacts include noise penetrating rooms through window openings. That is why, it is necessary to take into account window soundproof qualities choosing their designs. The article shows that the choice of windows with necessary soundproof characteristics should be made in view of the structure of the external noise falling on the window filling and the generated by it noise inside the room. The adjustments that must be taken into account at determining the required windows sound insulation to protect against noise of point and linear sound sources which are characteristic for the urban environment are given. It is shown that soundproof calculations and measurements should use sound intensity falling on the window levels instead of sound pressure levels determined at a normalized distance from the window. When measuring sound intensity in natural conditions, all necessary measurement criteria must be provided in accordance with current regulatory documents.
